The three options that I have in the Device Manager are Xbox Controller, Xbox Elite Controller, and Xbox Gaming Device. This is after selecting View-Show Hidden Devices, and de-selecting Show compatible devices. And I am using the wireless adapter, though using it wired has the same effect. For me, the game runs quite well, up until there is a pop-up dialog box, like the Save/Shop options. All controls get disabled, though the game continues running.

Sep 13, 2012 - Ok so I've got two controllers, one 'Wireless Xbox 360 Controller for Windows. Join Date: Jul 2007; Posts: 10,320; BG Level: 9; FFXIV Character. Up a much-needed button as the LT/RT buttons do not work on Windows. To unhide games on in your uninstalled list in the Game+Apps hub, Press LT+RT+X. To use your controller for 'Xbox, Record That', double tap the guide button then press X. And this one is LT+RT+Y to refresh your dashboard.

I disconnect the controller, reconnect, and can continue as normal. But I don't want to have to do this continually. This is just stupid!I've got the Wireless version and if I try to play wired, then it does work by unplugging/replugging the controller but this has to be done at each dialogue which is really frustrating. Wireless doesnt work at all so that's not an option.I've checked if I got the 'Microsoft Xbox One Controller' but it's not there. All I have is Xbox Controller, Xbox Elite Controller and Xbox Gaming Device. When I'm running wireless I only have Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows (in Network Card section btw, weird huh?).I'll uninstall the game for now but I really want to play it:(.
Originally posted by:It has also been suggested to update the firmware on the Xbox controller. If you have an Xbox, go to. If you don't, you can take it to a friend's house or to a MS retail store.
If you're still out of luck (like I am), download the Xbox Accessories app from the MS store, and sometime in the future, the app will be able to handle firmware upgrades. If anyone has managed to successfully update the firmware, I'd like to know if that makes a difference here in FF XIII.updated and it kind of works i have to rapidly tap on the triggers when the game wont recognize the controller.
